Dinsmore’s Brian O’Shaughnessy Awarded Highest Honor by Licensing Executives Society (USA & Canada), Inc. (LES)
O’Shaughnessy is awarded an Exemplary Service Award at Annual Meeting in New Orleans.
NEW ORLEANS, LA – October 20, 2024 – Brian P. O’Shaughnessy has been awarded the LES President’s Exemplary Service Award by the Licensing Executives Society (USA & Canada), Inc. (LES). The award, the Society’s highest honor, will be presented during the Annual Meeting October 20-23 at the Marriott New Orleans.
LES President’s Exemplary Service Award was established in 2018 and is the highest honor that LES can give to a member of the intellectual capital management (ICM) community. This award honors an LES volunteer who has made an outstanding contribution to the health, vibrancy, and well-being of the Society.
“In recognition of his extraordinary contributions to education and stalwart commitment to LES since 1999, it’s our honor to recognize Mr. O’Shaughnessy with the LES President’s Exemplary Service Award,” said Ann Cannoni, President of LES. “We gratefully acknowledge his service to our Society and the profession as a whole.”
Mr. O’Shaughnessy currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Public Policy for LES, where he was past president. He is a partner and chair of the IP Transactions and Licensing Group at Dinsmore in Washington, D.C. He is a registered patent attorney with more than 30 years of experience before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and in structuring global IP portfolios and strategies. He also serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Bayh Dole Coalition and a founding member of the United States Intellectual Property Alliance (USIPA). He earned is law degree from Syracuse University.
